2025 One Super Race Championship, Lee Chang-wook records his first pole position of the season

◇ Lee Changwook clocked 1:53.024 in Q2... The first pole position of the 2025 season

◇ Drivers using Kumho Tire at the top of the preliminary round, will they maintain the finish line

◇ Seo Han-GP, One Racing Seek a Possible Turnaround in Final Strategy Fight

The 2025 One Super Race Championship marked the beginning of the season with a fierce battle from the preliminary round.

In the Toyota Gaju Racing 6000 Class Qualifier held at Everland Speedway in Yongin on April 20 (Sat), Lee Chang-wook (Kumho SLM) recorded 1:53.024 on the second lap of Q2, securing his first pole position of the season.
Roh Moo-ki (Kumho SLM) and Park Kyu-seung (Brand New Racing) followed, taking the lead in the finals.

All three drivers belong to a team that uses Kumho Tire, and they achieved good results by maximizing tire performance at a short distance such as the preliminary round.

However, the final round is a long-distance race with a total length of 152.11 kilometers, which is expected to be a different aspect of competition from the preliminary round. Various factors such as refueling timing, tire wear management, and driver's race management strategy can determine the outcome of the race.

◇ Ranking fluctuations from Q1... joy and sorrow divided by 0.001 seconds

In Q1, there was a close game in which the rankings changed for each lap.

Lee Jung-woo (One Racing) ranked No. 1 in Q1 with 1:54.654 in the second lap, followed by Lee Chang-wook (Kumho SLM) and Choi Kwang-bin (One Racing).

Jang Hyun-jin (Seo Han GP), who was sluggish in the early stages of the preliminary round, succeeded in advancing to Q2 by raising the time for the fourth lap, but Chung Eui-chul and Kim Joong-gun were eliminated from Q1, and only one traditional powerhouse Seo Han-GP advanced to Q2.

Oh Han-sol (One Racing) secured the last Q2 ticket with a record of just 0.001 seconds faster than Chung Eui-chul on the last lap of Q1.

◇ Q2, Final Grid Confirmed in a Clash... There's plenty of room for a reversal

In Q2, Lee Chang-wook and Roh Moo-ki (Kumho SLM) maintained the fast time recorded in the early lap until the end, and Park Kyu-seung (Brand New Racing) came in third with a turnaround in the final lap.

On the final grid, various teams such as One Racing (Lee Jung-woo, Oh Han-sol, and Kim Dong-eun), Brand New Racing (Henjan Ryoma), One Racing (Choi Kwang-bin), and Jun-fitted (Hwang Jin-woo) are evenly placed, and it is expected that the final result will be difficult to predict.

Seo Han-GP, who struggled in the preliminary round, also has a reputation for its ability to manage the game, so it is worth looking forward to a turnaround in the final. 스포츠토토
